Lara's response startled a healthy laugh out of Kitty that trailed off into giggles. "Lara!" But the protest barely passed her lips before she lapsed into giggles again. It was one of the things she really liked about Lara, that she didn't censor herself around Kitty.
It took her a bit to pull herself back together, and when she did, she offered, "He said he meant to take me on a date before he kissed me. I don't think he even knew about the magic or whatever it was. I didn't." She hadn't needed it. "He's really sweet, L. And... I really like him. But I really like you, too."
